Pay Slips
Pay slips are such small, important documents

Those payslips, also often called wage slips, are such ordinary pieces of paper. You get them every week or month and simply file them or chuck them someplace into any old drawer. After all, it only provides the details of the money you earned for a specific period, the tax you paid and any other deductions!
You already got paid and you know exactly how much you got paid. So why bother about
payslips, they are not really needed once you got paid. Or are they? Think about all the things printed on a pay slip; the name of the company you work for and the company’s address.
Also, what mode of payment is used, total payment, gross payment and net pay are all on there - including all your deductions, your insurance number, pension, bonuses and overtime. In reality,
payslips are a complete record and this is the only proof you have of your salary and all the outgoing contributions you provide every month.
Replacing lost pay slips
There are many situations in which people need their printed
payslips as proof of income. Payslips are essential when applying for a loan at a bank, getting a mortgage and when you want to purchase a car. Your pay slips are also your proof of residence as well as the detailed record of your income. This information is most important when dealing with businesses and government agencies.
